Gearbox Design

For the Gearbox Design project we were given a scenario of a motorised canoe boat that needed a gearbox to be designed. This gearbox needed to be watertight and have 2 speeds (forward and reverse). I performed research into existing gearboxes to understand what would be necessary to ensure the gearbox would work.

Then I created drawings showing a side view, alongside two section views (vertical and angled) to show different features within the casing. After the drawings were complete a parts list was created and I learnt good practices in naming parts as well as referencing them in drawings.
